Insbesondere Alpen, Alpenrand, Baltikum und Britische Inseln, aber auch sonst im gesamten Verbreitungsgebiet der Art

Feuchte bis wechselfeuchte Wiesen, Sumpfwiesen, Binsenbestände, Schilfröhrichte und Moorgebüsche; bevorzugt stickstoffarme, basenreiche Böden, die auch kalkarm sein können; in 0-2100 m Höhe

Mitte V-Ende VI(Mitte VII in höheren Lagen)
